Trapezius

A large superficial muscle that extends longitudinally from the occipital bone to the lower thoracic vertebrae and laterally to the spine of the scapula. This muscle enables various shoulder and head movements. While not primarily part of the lats, it works synergistically with them for many upper body movements and is often trained alongside them.
