Vibration plate

Vibration platform

A vibration plate has a low, sturdy platform that moves in small, rapid pulses beneath your feet or hands. You usually stand, squat, sit, or lean against it while holding a stable position or moving slowly. The sensation can feel unusual at first, like a steady buzzing through your legs and body, and many models include controls for adjusting intensity.

It is used to add vibration to simple strength and balance practice. You can stand with your knees softly bent, hold a supported squat, raise your heels, or place your hands on the platform for an incline press-up. The moving surface encourages you to stay controlled and aware of your position, rather than making the exercises larger or faster.

It may suit you if you enjoy gentle movement sessions and prefer exercises that need little floor space. Most plates are compact, though you need clear room around them and a nearby support when starting. Begin at a comfortable setting and learn the controls before stepping on. A firm step or low platform can support similar positions without vibration.
