Uppercut bag
With its angled or rounded striking surface, an uppercut bag gives you a firm target for punches that travel upward or around the sides. It may hang from a frame or ceiling, or form part of a larger bag. The surface has some give, while its shape helps you find comfortable contact without aiming at a flat target.
You can use it for steady boxing practice, working on uppercuts, hooks and short straight punches while moving around the target. It lets you practise your stance, timing and coordination, and link punches into smooth sequences. Because the bag provides resistance and may swing slightly, you also learn to stay balanced and return your hands to a comfortable guard.
It suits you if you enjoy boxing-based movement and want a target shaped for close-range punches. A hanging model needs clear floor space around it and a secure mounting point, so setup may take planning. You can scale the effort through pace and force, though learning basic punching form first is helpful. For lighter practice, a firmly held cushion can offer an everyday alternative.
