Resistance tube band
A resistance tube band is a stretchy, hollow cord with handles at each end, sometimes with an anchor for securing it to a door. As you pull, the tension rises smoothly, so movements feel light at first and firmer farther out. It is compact, quiet and easy to hold, though the band can snap back if released suddenly.
You can use it for gentle strength training at home or while travelling. Standing on the tube or attaching it to a secure anchor lets you press, pull, squat and practise controlled arm and shoulder movements. Changing your position alters the resistance, while the handles offer a comfortable grip for exercises that work your legs, back, chest and arms.
It suits you if you want flexible resistance without giving up much floor space, and it stores easily in a drawer or bag. You can make movements easier or harder by changing your stance or shortening the working length. Before starting, check for cracks, secure any anchor carefully and keep the tube away from your face. For some movements, a sturdy towel offers a simple, non-stretching alternative.
