Resistance loop band
Soft, stretchy and shaped as one continuous ring, a resistance loop band can be held, stepped on or wrapped around a secure support. It stretches as you move and gently pulls back toward its original length. Bands come in different thicknesses, with thicker versions usually feeling firmer and giving more support.
When secured to a pull-up bar or dip station, the band can support part of your body as you practise lifting and lowering yourself. This makes pull-ups and dips more approachable while you learn the movement and build strength through your arms, shoulders, chest and back. You can also use the loop for gentle pulling, pressing and leg exercises.
It suits you if you want compact equipment that stores easily and takes up little room in use, though assisted dips and pull-ups require a stable station or bar. You can scale the support by choosing a different band thickness or changing how it is positioned. Check for splits before use and secure it carefully. For basic pulling practice, a towel held firmly in both hands is a simple alternative.
