Interlocking foam tiles

Soft, square panels fit together like a jigsaw to create a cushioned floor area wherever you train. Interlocking foam tiles feel warmer and more forgiving than a hard floor, while their lightly textured surface can give you a steadier base. They are usually easy to lift, separate and wipe clean, though the joins may be noticeable under your hands or feet.

They make floor-based movement more comfortable, especially when your knees, hands, back or elbows would otherwise press against a firm surface. You can use them for stretching, gentle strength exercises, balance practice and relaxed mobility work. By joining only the number you need, you can create room for a small standing routine or a longer space for lying down.

They suit you if you exercise at home and want temporary cushioning without dedicating a whole room to it. The covered area is easy to enlarge or reduce, but tiles can separate or slide on some floors, so check that they sit flat before you begin. A folded exercise mat or rug can work for simpler floor movements, although it may offer less space.
