BOSU balance trainer
BOSU ball
With a soft, inflated dome on one side and a rigid, flat platform on the other, the BOSU balance trainer offers two different surfaces to work from. It gives slightly beneath you and gently tips as you shift your position, so even familiar movements can feel less steady. The platform is broad enough for hands or feet.
You can use it to add balance practice to simple floor and standing movements. In a BOSU plank, placing your hands on the platform or dome asks your shoulders, arms and middle to keep you steady while the surface moves. It can also support gentle stepping, kneeling or squatting practice when you want more focus on control.
It suits you if you enjoy attentive movement and want balance work that can grow with your confidence. Start near a wall or sturdy chair, with the dome facing up for a more forgiving surface. You scale the difficulty through your position, as there are no parts to adjust. It takes floor space and is bulkier to store than a mat; the floor is a practical alternative for planks.
