Arm blaster

Worn around your neck, an arm blaster rests across the front of your body as a curved, padded plate. It gives your elbows a firm place to stay while you bend and straighten your arms. The position can feel quite fixed at first, and the neck strap and padding should sit comfortably without digging in.

You use it mainly for arm training with dumbbells, a bar or a resistance band. By keeping your elbows from drifting forwards or backwards, it helps you make curling movements more controlled and focus the effort on the front of your upper arms. It can support standing curls and different hand positions, provided you move smoothly and stay comfortable.

It may suit you if your elbows tend to wander during curls and you would like a clear guide for your position. It takes little storage space, though fitting the strap and plate comfortably may require some adjustment. You can scale the effort by choosing lighter or heavier equipment. For a simpler alternative, brace your upper arms gently against a wall.
